Since 2001, Mirror Stage has been a home for bold storytelling and civic dialogue, where art and community meet, and every voice matters. In 2026, we’re celebrating 25 years of holding up the mirror, revealing truth, sparking conversation, and bringing our shared humanity into focus. From thought-provoking fully-staged productions to our Holding the Moment speaker series, Mirror Stage has remained committed to amplifying historically excluded perspectives and fostering connection through the power of story.
This fiscal year, we’re providing completely free programming, and your support—whether $25, $250, or more!—enables us to connect people more deeply to perspectives and experiences other than their own, while amplifying historically excluded stories, voices, and faces. As we face continually escalating costs in today’s economy, gifts of every size make a truly important difference, and are gratefully appreciated.

Mirror Stage believes the power of story holds the key to bringing people together in imagining and embodying a better future. Mirror Stage gets people talking while creating opportunities for people to increase their awareness and understanding of the complexity of contemporary issues—such as racism, incarceration, homelessness, war, sexism in the workplace, capital punishment, immigration, veterans returning stateside, climate change, health care, religious intolerance, media images and body perception—and the far-reaching impact on the lives of us all. Programming that expands our recognition, acceptance, and sense of connection with the diversity of our community, as well as the world at large, continues to be needed today, more than ever.
